English isn´t my first language so when I read the sweetums I just thought “hey this must mean something like honey, darling etc” and just forgot about it but I just saw this panel again and got so curious that I looked it up in the dictionary, no matches, well let´s try urban dictionary and:
1)A word meaning “the awesomest person ever, whom I love”
2)A name given between two people in love to show their love to eachother
Yeah… hey! it´s probably nothing but it made my day!! this issue just gave us lots of new pet names to use besides baby boy. I love it
